is the background of the Phoenix drilling staff?
Drilling rigs
assigned to environmental projects are routinely staffed with a lead driller
and two helpers. Our Atlanta-based drilling personnel include one lead driller
with 40 years of experience.
What
about training and monitoring?
Phoenix Global
Corporation maintains an ongoing program of training and medical monitoring
of the drilling staff. All drilling personnel receive 40 hours of OSHA mandated
training upon hiring and 8 hour refresher training annually thereafter. We are
routinely equipped for EPA level D personal protection on drilling projects
with the capability of moving up to level B.

Phoenix Global
Corporation has developed a reputation for taking on touch jobs and bringing
them in under budget and on or before time. Our record of success include numerous
projects involving environmental and geotechnical drilling services that are
within the scope of this proposed project. Many of such projects were located
on Military Installations, requiring level D and C.P.P.E. safety procedures.

What
is the extent of Phoenix's insurance coverage?
Phoenix Global
Corporation maintains professional liability insurance and bonding capabilities.
For review convenience, we can provide an information certificate of insurance
on Workers' Compensation, Commercial General Liability, Automobile Liability,
and Umbrella Liability.
What
about health and safety?
Phoenix will submit
a description of the company safety manual. It is the responsibility of Phoenix
Global Corporation to conduct operations in accordance with all applicable local,
state, and federal regulations. All personnel working on hazardous waste sites
are OSHA Trained (29 CFR 1910.120). All Phoenix personnel have full health and
safety briefings prior to onstart of site operations and comply with Contractor;s
field operations personnel and regulations.
What
about downtime?
Any time a rig
is scheduled to work, but due to supplier personnel, logistic or mechanical
problems, work cannot proceed. Downtime will be tracked by your firm and given
serious consideration in evaluating supplier performance and future awarding
of projects. Your firm has the authority to require rigs with greater than 10%
downtime to be removed from the site. Mobilization charges will be waived for
replacement rigs.
What
about supplier records?
Phoenix Global
Corporation will be responsible for keeping a detailed account and documentation
of substantive activities and materials involved with individual projects. This
record must be in a format acceptable to the client. Phoenix must have sufficient
documentation to verify information for the State Water Well Record in which
the drilling takes place.
What
about invoicing?
Phoenix Global
Corporation is responsible for reconciling pay terms with technical oversight
on a daily basis. Oversight will submit pay items based on their expense record
which will be developed specifically for each category of work. The client will
approve payment based on this record. Driller and oversight will sign the record
at the end of each work day is each agrees on the pay item quantities recorded.
If a disagreement occurs, it is the responsibility of Phoenix Global to resolve
any disagreements on pay items before invoices are submitted.
What
about client confidentiality?
Results, documents,
and activities shall be kept under strict confidentiality. No information shall
be provided in any form to any party or parties outside our firm. Our firm will
not publicize or release any information or data generated under this subcontract.
What
is your approach to public relations?
As a company,
it is important that our affiliation with the community remain first rate. Our
personnel will develop good relations with field operation personnel and local
community members. Phoenix Global Corporation will make every effort in good
faith to maintain excellent relations with property owners, base officials,
and field operations personnel.
What
about scheduling?
Phoenix Global
Corporation understands the following:
Groundwater monitoring
wells and soil borings are installed (or abandoned) on an "as needed or
project basis. Once an area has been identified as requiring the installation
(or abandonment) of monitoring wells and/or soil borings, work will commence.
Materials will be ordered promptly so as not to interfere with the timely startup
and completion of the job. The work schedule shall consist of 10-hour days.
If performance falls behind schedule, Phoenix Global Corporation personnel shall
work reasonable overtime, including Sundays.
What
are your company's geographical restrictions?
There are none.
Phoenix Global Corporation's efforts have been primarily concentrated in the
Southeastern United States, form New York to Florida and from Louisiana to the
Carolinas. However, Phoenix is prepared to mobilize to any location, international
or otherwise, to meet our client's needs.
What
about minority certifications?
Phoenix maintains
virtually all local, state, and Federal minority business certifications.
Does
a company need to be a certain size before it can benefit from your services?
No. We are monitoring
well specialists and are in no way put off by small projects. Whether the scope
involves a single boring or 100 double cased wells, we have built a reputation
for being accommodating to the client above all else.

about costs?
